The Greene County girls won and the boys lost in varsity basketball against the Collins-Maxwell-Baxter Raiders Jan. 24 in Baxter.
The girls’ score was 51-41. Kayla Mobley led in scoring with 18 points and Jolee Wessling scored 10. The girls are holding on to winning records, being 8-7 overall and 7-6 in the Heart of Iowa Activities Conference.
The boys lost by a lopsided 87-57 score. Fouls played a big part in the game; the Rams were whistled for 25 fouls and the Raiders were whistled for 21. The Rams were 24 for 33 at the charity stripe. Trey Tucker was the Rams’ high scorer with 23 points. The Rams are now 5-8 overall and 4-7 in the HOIAC.
